Learn from award-winning author Adriana Erin Rivera. She’ll guide you on how to get started on the novel you’ve dreamt of writing and provide you the tools to finish the manuscript.
In this 2-hour in-person workshop, you’ll:
Define your main character(s) and story premise
Develop a plot outline for your novel
Write through guided exercises
Gain insight into the publishing industry
Adriana Erin Rivera is an award-winning author of Puerto Rican descent. Adriana’s award-winning middle grade historical fiction novel, PALOMA’S SONG FOR PUERTO RICO: A DIARY FROM 1898, is a collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum for the American Latino. The children’s book won the Gold Medal for Best Educational Chapter Book at the 2024 International Latino Book Awards. Her writing has been published in Barzakh Literary Magazine, Latina Magazine, Metro New York, and Footwear News. She is also a songwriter and has written theatrical pieces that have been performed on New York City stages. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications. Currently based in Westchester County, NY, she is a Marketing Manager at a university in New York. She is currently writing her next novel.
Workshop will take place in-person at ArtsWestchester at 31 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains, New York.
